inVentiv Selling Solutions Launches New Model for Outsourcing Sales
"Selling2Scale" To Provide Clients with Strategic Resources for Maximum Impact
SOMERSET, NJ, February 4, 2010 - inVentiv Selling Solutions, a division of inVentiv Health (NASDAQ: VTIV), today launched a new sales model, known as "Selling2Scale," to drive the commercial success of its clients' pharmaceutical products through strategic outsourcing solutions.
Selling2Scale leverages a proprietary methodology to assess and define the product opportunity, well beyond the traditional headcount models. This model identifies the sales and marketing resources that can be employed to deliver the most value in achieving a product's business goals and objectives. Using the model as a guide, the inVentiv Selling Solutions team then applies its expertise and experience to coordinate these resources in a truly integrated and customized way to maximize the commercial success of a product.
"Historically, clients asked us 'How many sales representatives do I need to effectively promote my product?' Today, as pharmaceutical companies continue to face a challenging and complex sales environment, clients are asking questions such 'What channels and touchpoints should I be employing to give my customers the information they want on the schedule they prefer?' and 'How can I maximize the return on my investment?' The Selling2Scale model is a comprehensive process that enables inVentiv to answer those questions with a customized, measurable plan tailored to meet the specific needs of each product," said Paul Mignon, President of inVentiv Selling Solutions.
Selling2Scale leverages the unparalleled breadth of personal and virtual resources across inVentiv Selling Solutions including recruiting, training, primary and specialty sales teams, clinical nurse educators, medical science liaisons, sample management, and closed loop marketing.
"Regardless of whether a pharmaceutical company is launching an innovative new therapy, trying to boost its market position, or simply sustaining product growth, Selling2Scale customizes the approach to help clients manage product challenges and achieve business success in a changing marketplace" added Mignon.
