inVentiv Clinical Expands Operations to Emerging Latin American Region

SOMERSET, N.J., March 13  inVentiv Clinical Solutions, LLC (inVentiv Clinical), a division of inVentiv Health (Nasdaq: VTIV - News), announced today that they will establish operations in Latin America, a growing region for drug development. The new location will be based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, with the plan to expand operations to other Latin American countries. inVentiv Clinical's Latin American operations will be led by Ana Paula Ruenis, PhD, recently appointed as Director of Clinical Operations, Latin America. Dr. Ruenis is responsible for oversight of project management and monitoring of all Latin American investigative sites for studies conducted by inVentiv Clinical.

Prior to joining inVentiv Clinical, Dr. Ruenis spent more than eight years in clinical research, representing top US pharmaceutical clients in South America, managing trials in various phases and therapeutic areas from protocol design to site and patient recruitment to final report submission. Dr. Ruenis received both her master's degree and PhD in Pharmacology from the State University of Campinas in Piracicaba, SP, Brazil. She also received training at the Biopharmaceutical Sciences Department of the University of California in San Francisco, CA.
